Gas Fireplace Repair FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

My gas fireplace smells — is it dangerous?

It can be. Odd smells, delayed ignition, or yellow flames can indicate a CO leak or venting issue. Turn it off and schedule a diagnostic immediately.

Why won't my pilot light stay lit?

The most common cause is a faulty thermocouple or thermopile. Our diagnostic tests these components and we replace them on the spot in most cases.

Can you repair any brand of gas fireplace?

Yes. Our technicians service all major gas fireplace brands and models throughout the Portland metro area.
